I have followed the progress of your organization for the last few months as I healed from a fractured hip. I was a military wife for 28 years prior to my husband’s retirement, my oldest daughter was in the Air Force for a tour in Europe and California and I now am sweating out a special grandson’s first Iraq tour. He is twenty and will return home in August to a huge loving family, but more importantly to his 19 year old wife, a wonderful one year old son and a baby girl who should arrive next month! My prayer is that he returns whole
    physically, mentally and emotionally,

I have worked in the fields of Suicide, Crisis Intervention, Crisis Management and Hostage Negotiation through development of Suicide and Crisis Intervention training, directing local and national crisis and suicide hotlines and development of Suicide and negotiation verbal crisis intervention techniques and methodology for law enforcement that is used nationaly and internationaly since being adopted as the professional standard by the FBI. As oppposed to the Academia or mental health approach and understanding of Suicide , I have years of “down and dirty” experience , having personaly worked with over 2,000 suicidal clients by telephone , with 10% of these callers experiencing a suicide in progress. There is a place for all approaches and the melding of them can be very beneficial when focused on the specific objectives of your organization.

I have also worked as a Victim Advocate and over the years I have recognized the symptoms and sent male victims to work with Larry Bergman.I fully support your organization and if there is any way I can help, it would be a privilage. I would be glad to send you a resume of my work experience and publications and can provide references in the local area that can be easily contacted.

This is a special organization that will go national. If I can help in any way, please let me know.
